JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Ministry of Industry seeks to encourage the development of battery technology to support the development of the national electric vehicle industry by carrying out the concept of a circular economy. The reason is, the battery is a key component in electric vehicles that contribute up to 40 percent of the selling price. “Battery is a key component for electric vehicles and contributes around 25-40 percent of the price of electric vehicles,” said Head of the Industrial Research and Development Agency (BPPI) of the Ministry of Industry, Doddy Rahadi in an official statement, Thursday (27/8/2020). This statement was conveyed by Doddy at the 2020 Materials and Technical Goods Technology (TBBT) webinar held by the Ministry of Industry’s Center for Materials and Technical Goods (B4T).
