Our Main Mission

ICEF aims to accelerate the Circular Economy transition in Indonesia through national and international partnership. This year theme will be:

“Accelerating Climate Action through the Circular Economy”

Background

A circular economy employs a number of measures, including reducing, reusing, and recycling, to eliminate waste, minimize material and resource consumption, and lower greenhouse gas emissions. The global economy is currently just 8.6% circular, resulting in a large circularity gap. Global greenhouse gas emissions could be cut by 39% and the total material footprint shrunk by 28% by 2032 if global circularity is doubled in the next ten years, compared to current levels.

The 5th ICEF 2022 is a Side Event of the World Circular Economy Forum (WCEF) 2022
