The Circular Economy concept is a new thing in Indonesia, but it is feasible to apply this concept because of the many benefits it generates. President and CEO of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development Peter Bakker said, the Circular Economy concept is an innovative and revolutionary concept that opposes traditional manufacturing and consumption processes. “This allows the global economic system to use natural resources efficiently,” he said at the 2018 Sustainability Development (SD) Symposium at The Athenee Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand, Monday (9/7/2018). He explained, to make this concept widespread in the business community, it must begin by instilling this value in the conscience of management and employees to achieve the same goal. In Indonesia, the implementation of the Circular Economy has been proven by establishing a waste bank that functions as a place for collecting waste, then making the waste have value and benefits. In addition, the government has a roadmap on how to manage waste properly, so that it is in line with the Circular Economy.
